Student Visa

Does anyone if you can get a student visa for a year once your 90 day tourist visa expires? or will they only allow a year in the country total

Visas start on the day they are issued, so if you are in Colombia and have been here 90 days then get a student visa for 1 year that starts on that day its one year from there.

Correct. If you were in-country with a true toursit visa, and not just entry with a passport, the tourist visa become invalid when the strudent visa is issued.
