Student visa question

OK, i´ve done a seach on this but can´t find any clear answers on my situation and i´m guessing that if i went to DAS(from past experence) that i wouldn´t be given a clear answer there either.

I have a 1 year student visa that will end in August, if i go home in August can i come back in October? I mean, does it count in the 6 months tourist quota? I don´t want to take a chance and arrive at the airport and be told that i´m not allowed back. I don´t think i can extend this type of visa just studying SPanish.

I was inicially going to go for the Investment visa but with the housing market in England so bad and the peso so good at the moment i´m going to have to sit on my hands and hope for the situation to change.

Any info would be great. Thanks

yup. the student visa does not count towards the six month cuota, thats correct. you can spend six months in the country in any calender year on a general tourist entry visa..

Student visa is student visa, tourist is tourist. You'll have no problem. Don't know where you are, but DAS in Cali aren't too bad.
