Strange as it sounds....can we delay an interview?

My wife a month ago went for her first interview for the k3 visa. However, they said that there was insufficient evidence of relationship and want us to setup another interview. Since then, my wife's father's eyesight has gotten really bad (almost blind), and with a lengthy discussion. We agreed that if it is possible to wait a month or two for the second interview, then we can take care of her father's operation first then worry about financing the second interview visit.

My question: Will the consulate wait a couple of months, or do they want to finish the process for the K3 as soon as possible?

I know you guys can't get into the consulate's heads, but any help you can give will be appreciated.

How can you have insufficient evidence of a relationship when you´re married? I can see if you were getting a K-1, but I have never heard of this with a K-3.

You have to go when the interview is rescheduled, or start back into the line again, which will take another 3-4 months before your next interview. If you´re doing DCF, it might be easier, but BCIS is not known for being flexible or taking into consideration what will make your life easier.

Bizarre. I have never heard of this with a K-3 except in Lima, Peru which is notoriously difficult. There has got to be some kind of red flag waving for them to be doing this. They didn't even ask us any questions when I was there but maybe the fact that I was there was enough to eliminate that possibility.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.

Yes if you miss the appointment, they just reschedule it for the following month automatically. Fax a letter requesting it to be sure they do it. My friend is on his fourth visit for the visa. If they keep your papers, you then have to call the national vall center to arrange an appointment.
