Staying longer in Colombia

My 90 day visa is running out of days and I am not finished visiting all the places want. I knoiw that you can extend it with another 30 days at any DAS office but I am afraid this won't be enough either. Going up and down to another country does the trick but I am likely to be in Bogota which isn't close to Ecuador or Venezuela. Does anybody knows what happens if you exceed the 90 days.... Just a (small) fine or does it means big problems..? In Ecuador you have to pay a small fee at the immigration office in Quito and leave the country within 2 days but how is it in Colombia?
Any help would be grately apriciated.
Thanks,
Erik

How does one go about getting a 90 day visa? I'm going to Bogotá soon, and would like to get a 90 day visa when I go into the country. I've been told that typically they stamp your passport with an automatic 30 day visa. What are the magic words to get a 90 day?
