I was wondering how easy it is to start a business in Medellin. Is it the same process as here in the U.S.? My husband is a graphic designer and we want to move to Medellin and start our own graphic design business. Does anyone have any input, has anyone started a business in Colombia?

cayita says on May 23, 2007, 06:10: Colombia is one of the easiest countires in SA to "start" a business and one of the worst when it comes to the filings you have to submit on an ongoing basis. Be prepared to hire someone to keep up with all these filing for you. Depending on what type business you open it can be a nightmare if you don't have professional help. The surpises will come and the penalties you will pay for your ignorance of them will put you out of business.
