Start Visa with Move Pending?

I currently reside in SC (Texas is the processing center) I anticipate a job related move within the next month or two to Vermont (different processing center). Should I begin the K3/K4 process and risk delays trying to change centers mid stream or wait the two months for the move and then start in Vermont?

Anyone with experience changing service centers? Does it cause delays or problems?

Good Luck If you are 100% certain you are going to move, then I would consider waiting. Vermont processes visas almost 3 months faster than Texas. Check out the uscis.gov website to verify. Also, immigration is notorious for losing letters and change of address'. Either way you can not lose because you are that much closer to bringing your wife to the states. Good Luck.

ALL K-3/K-4 peitions are handled by the National Benefits Center, NOT the four service centers. Vermont does handle the underlying I-130 a lot faster than Texas does so it may be a consideration. Check out www.uscis.gov for the processing times.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.

Careful who you listen to.... Please check Visajourney.com for current timelines and information, and be careful who you listen to. If you are Married, and filing a K-3 process, you will start with an I-130 (CR1) application. Both Texas AND Vermont now forward those to California, you will NOT save time by waiting for the move to Vermont because both will end up at the same place - CSC (California Service Center).

As for the K3/I-129F application, which you may file after the CR1, it is sent straight to Chicago and not your local service center, so your location does not matter.

In summary, file now - changing your address later is VERY simple by filing only one document and they will return a confirmation letter to you at your new address quickly!

The "lovemedellin website" is a piece of crap made by some moron who has only been to Medellin once...you'd be better off reading the Lonely Planet advice from a guy who never even came here!
