Spouse Visa-Different offices different dollar amounts?

Hi all, After getting married on thurs 13th my husband and I got dressed in conservative casual and went into the immigration office near park 93 at 7.30am nice and early as advised by someone on this site and handed over the 380.000 pesos for the visa along with the paper work.

The guy only took the letter from my husband saying how he would support me and my passport tourist visa photocopies.(they did not take my letter of intent or all the used pages of my passport copies)

Anyway after we waited for a long time they declared that they did not start handing back passports untill 12pm. Eventually I got the visa and paid for it then waited a while longer and finally got my passport.

While handing it over they told me that I had to go to the DAS office within 15 days and pay more money(80.000) and they did not mention any other requirments.

Did anyone else experience this?

When I got to DAS the ever polite english speaking lady told me it was 115.000 and that i had to go and get an offical blood test to find out my blood type, even though i already know what my blood type is!

I was just wondering if there will be any other little money based suprises for us to look forward to. Also I was wondering if you can just pay to get a spouse visa for 6 months or 1 year because we are hoping to head back to australia and my husbands visa application alone is going to be a couple of grand and so i dont really see why i have to pay for 2 years here in Colombia when i wont even be here for that long.
Thanks :)

Has anyone else had experience where it seems that the immigration office DAS and the airport DAS staff just done seem to communicate? Its crazY! I remember when we arrived here in June, we tried to tell this DAS officer at the airport as we were going through immigration that we would be applying for a spouse visa...she had no idea that the laws had changed recently permiting spouse applications on a tourist visa.
She swore back and blue that she had just done her exam and had answered that exact question she even called over her supervisor, to get her off our backs we said that we would be fine with the tourist visa thanks....and then next day hurried stressing to DAS only to be told that we had been right all along!

Whats with that!
