Hi.. extremely confused on what to do .
I am a british resident with ILR. In 2006 I married a colombian woman, and we got married in Colombia. She has been studying her university architectural degree since 2003. When we got married we were advised to ask for a spouse visa which would allow her to come back and forth to the UK without having to apply for a Visa.
She has continued her Degree in Colombia while visiting me every 3 or so months. She comes from May to August, and then from December to January every year. She finishes her Architectural Degree in May 2008 and her Spouse Visa expires May 2008 which means she has to apply for another visa or for ILR i believe. we have been together since april 2004 and have been waiting for her to finish her degree, to which she will move and we will live together here in London.
We are concerned as the embassy`s are not helping or giving us any information, nor do we understand what to do as we were giving different advice 2 years ago and now we are not sure about what to do.
Do we need to apply for the ILR from Colombia or from here, what do we do? is it a problem that she has had her spouse visa and has continued studying in COlombia, and has spent a few months at a time out of the country?
thanks alot
regards
Cade

And, you would need to start that in London, not abroad.... The trouble about trying to make yourself stupider than you really are is that you very often succeed. - CS Lewis 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

I have a good friend who works for the home office and I can get a definite answer if you need still need it but I don't want to bother him unnecesarily if you have already got the answer or are in the process of trying anyway. It's not about the destination, its about the journey 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
