I just made a discovery, but maybe I am the last to know.
I switched back to Firefox browser and discovered that it "now?" does a spell check on the fly.
If anybody else has my poor spelling and typing skills it's worthwhile.
It is supposed to be less vulnerable to viruses and it's free at:

ColombianoGringo says on May 5, 2008, 10:00: You can download dictionaries for various languages as well. While you're at it, go to the extensions section of the mozilla site and download the NoScript and AdBlockPlus plugins. NoScript stops any scripts from running on your browser without your explicit permission. This will help avoid spyware, etc. AdBlockPlus is a great ad blocking add-on.

tomtom33 says on May 5, 2008, 11:23: Word 2003 has a great spell-check on the fly for Spanish. You do have to enable it though. It can automatically detect whether I am using English or Spanish. Unfortunately, it cannot determine accents that change in context, but it does catch some accent errors.

ColombianoGringo says on May 5, 2008, 11:50: If you mean that you don't need to worry about malware with Firefox, that is incorrect. While Firefox is typically more secure than IE, it is still vulnerable to malware. NoScript makes sure you never have nay malicious scripts run on your browser.

romy says on May 5, 2008, 19:34: wow! CG you have improved my web experience as have some of the add ons I have picked up on route. I have never looked into any of these add ons before. Something that I found amazing (though I don't need for obvious reasons) are the add ons that allow people in China, Iran, etc. to bypass the censorship that government has imposed on them for things like youtube and flickr.

vicshere says on May 6, 2008, 08:23: aztec another program on my puter and it will even be slower...uggggg....new puter coming up next month will see about firefox then listo |

aztec says on May 6, 2008, 08:33: You may be correct. But, I have found both Firefox and Opera faster than IE.

ColombianoGringo says on May 6, 2008, 14:15: Strangely enough, I found that Firefox takes forever to load on some PCs. It also has some serious problems with CPU load when playing flash and certain other plugins. This seems to be greatly improved when using it with Vista. However, I would still rather use it over IE.

jonas says on May 6, 2008, 14:25: and they are coming out with a new version of Firefox that is supposed to be a lot slimmer and faster. What I have, I do not want to lose, but Where I am I do not want to stay, but those I love, I do not want to leave, but those I know I no longer want to see, but Where I die, I do not want to go;I want to stay where I have never been |
