I flew them earlier this month from Bogota to San Andres. They are partners with Continental and Air Copa. No problems and would fly on them again.

Thank you.....Goodnite Now!

Too bad you didn't post that earlier, I could have complained for you, to the president of Aero República, jaja.

I did post here earlier that I was fortunate to attend Copa's Inverstor's Day in Panama City. I was able to meet the President and hear presentations (in English) by the entire Copa and Aero República (now a wholey-owned subsidiary of Copa Holdings) team. They had quite an interesting story to tell.

The president of Aero is an impressive individual. He is Colombian, but educated at the Warton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.

I have only flown Copa a few times between San Juan, Panamá, and Cartragena, but have been quite pleased.

On my Copa round trip to Cartagena (50 minute direct, not via Bogotá) I received a FULL Cuba Libre, gratis. But international flights are different.

Look for new routes for Aero República and Copa in the near future.

Since Copa is now a full member of SkyTeam, you can receive frequent flier award flights on/from Aeroflot, AeroMexico, Air France, KLM, Alitalia, Continental, North West, China Southern, Czech Airlines, Korean Airlines, and Air Europa.

The average aircraft age is 3.8 years for all of Copa Holdings, one of the very youngest fleets in the World. And the people are very nice ( I can only speak for Copa), unlike what I have read about that other airline.

I fly on Aero Republica on the domestic portions of my COPA flights. I have never had a bad experience with them. As a matter of fact, on my last trip, I was delayed in getting to the airport and arrived well after the usual cut-off time and the agent processed me quickly and got me on the flight. Had I missed that flight I would have missed my other two connections.

Hola!

I would like to contact COPA´s President and tell him of the service that is happening! It happened personally to me and is not an isolated issue. They messed up the flight and dump its customers to Panama City to stay the night, instead of letting us stay in Cali. This even happened with others flying from other cities for the same flight we missed. I spoke with customer service in Panama City and it was a joke! Even the Continetal employee in Miami said they were not as good as when Continental owned them.

Aero República was a good flight for me one time when my Avianca paper ticket got wet while swimming in Cartagena. Avianca wanted $100 to reprint the paper ticket and Aero República was just $50 to Bogota from Cartagena.

I have already contacted Fabio Villegas, Avianca´s President, about a bad problem and he corrected it. We have met a couple of times in person and initially I emailed his Blackberry! Fabio is a London School of Economics graduate and former Harvard Professor.

GregYohn, as a fellow Pennsylvanian, I wish that I could help, although I don't really understand what happened.

The president of Copa is Pedro Heilbron. I only have a personal e-mail address for the VP Stockholder Relations, but using the same format, I would suspect that Heilbron's might be pheilbron at copaair.com . When I spoke with him, he seemed quite a reasonable man, and I think that he would be very interested in hearing your complaints.

Larry Ganse is SVP Operations, and I think his e-mail might be lganse at copaair.com

As a 2-bit investor, I would hope that you can connect with them.

Hola!

It is challenging for me to use COPA again, since Avianca did such a good job repairing their mistake and Copa messed up. I think that I will speak with Larry Ganse and mention a stockholder mentioned I should contact him for proper compensation.

Avianca uses the same email protocol, so it was easy to contact Fabio at Avianca. I could have continued saying bad things about Avianca, but the people there have been bending over backwards to repair the damage done.

Hola!

I was told that waiting so long might be a challenge, but basically I can still say to the President that he makes the final decision. Others are delegated his responsibilities. I am waiting for a reply from their customer service.
