If Colombia is the Israel of the region, then Chavez should watch his buffoon fat ass if he wants to pick a fight with Colombia.

Remember Hugo, Israel kicks their Arab enemy's ass every time, and allah the pig can't seem to change that. I suppose praying 5 times a day just don't cut it with allah.

Maybe Iran's AhmedisaNUTJOB will try to help Hugo out. Those two are butt buddies.

That´s not a good comparison, there ist no cultural difference between Colombia and its neighbours as between jewish/western Israel and it´s arab/muslim neighbours. The only difference is that Colombia is the only US ally in the region, and that may change one day.

Disagree with the Duzan's statement, no comparison at all

I am just making fun of buggy.

Yes Dolfi...you are right. There is a major cultural difference between the Israelis and their Arab neighbours. The biggest difference is that Jews are well educated and highly motivated, whereas the Arabs are retards.

buggy says on Tuesday March 4th, 2008 8:08:

Racism.

LDW says on Tuesday March 4th, 2008 8:19:

I made no mention of race.

Arabs and Jews are pretty much the same race (semitic peoples), they just have a different philosophy of life. One philosophy encourages humans to excel and reach their potential, whereas the other basically says "sit on your arse (or point it skywards) because everything is allah's will".

Actually, the real racists are those who follow allah. Even today in Arabic, the word for "slave" ("abd") is synonymous with the word for the color "black". They also tell us that the only way we can communicate with their god allah is to speak their Arabic language, because apparently their god allah is either too stupid or too lazy to bother understanding anything else. Saudi Arabia didn't even officially abolish slavery until 1963, but as a practical matter slavery still goes on there.

I could make the same distinction between Sikhs and Pakistanis. They are the same race, but they have different outlooks on life.

I could go on about this, but enough for now.

LDW do you have any idea what has been done in history to American Indians in the name of Christianity?

Do you know that Islam was once the most advance and largest empire in the world?

There are numerous examples in history where Christians have behaved much worse than Muslims .

Here are two links about this subject:

buggy says on Tuesday March 4th, 2008 8:36:

What you say is the proof that you know no Arabs.
The globalisation of a human group is one of the characteristics of the racism.

LDW says on Tuesday March 4th, 2008 9:25:

tasco66........did I say anything about the Christians? Was I singing their praises? If I was, show me where I said that.

Just because Christianity's shit stinks, does that mean I have to eat Islamic shit? Horrible injustices were committed against the North American natives, although most of them died from lack of resistance to European diseases. Shit has happened everywhere in history. According to some accounts, Muslim invaders murdered 80 million Hindus in their attempted conquest of India.

Christians have done lots of bad things, human beings being the imperfect creatures that they are. But none of the bad things that Christians have done can be supported by what Jesus taught.

Therein lies the difference. When Muslims do shitty things, they are just following the example of their prophet and what their religion teaches. It is easy to demonstrate from Islamic literature itself that the prophet of Islam was a thief, liar, adulterer, rapist, pedophile, trafficker of human flesh, and murderer. Islamic literature itself clearly sanctions rape, mistreatment of women, and the murder of those who don't wish to be Muslim. There are examples in islamic literature itself of the prophet participating and/or authorizing all of those things.

And religious tolerance? Islamic literature itself clearly sanctions violence and/or extortion against non Muslims (verses 8:39, 9:5, and 9:29 of the KKKoran). The prophet of Islam himself demanded the murder of apostates from Islam (that is still Islamic law today). Are there people of other religions guilty of violence against people who don't believe as they do? Of course there are!! But then are they really following what their religion teaches? Check it out. In the case of Islam it is easy to demonstrate that they are.

Quote:

"Do you know that Islam was once the most advance and largest empire in the world?"

Yes, I know that, and like every other empire it was built by the sword. Much of the so-called "culture" they had was actually just taken from their conquered peoples. Did you ever stop to think why they don't have that empire now? Why can't hundreds of millions of Muslims defeat a mere 5 million Israeli Jews?

LDW I suggest you read the Bible:

1) In Leviticus 25:44-46, the Lord tells the Israelites it's OK to own slaves, provided they are strangers or heathens.

2) In Samuel 15:2-3, the Lord orders Saul to kill all the Amalekite men, women and infants.

3) In Exodus 15:3, the Bible tells us the Lord is a man of war.

4) In Numbers 31, the Lord tells Moses to kill all the Midianites, sparing only the virgins.

5) In Deuteronomy 13:6-16, the Lord instructs Israel to kill anyone who worships a different god or who worships the Lord differently.

6) In Mark 7:9, Jesus is critical of the Jews for not killing their disobedient children as prescribed by Old Testament law.

7) In Luke 19:22-27, Jesus orders killed anyone who refuses to be ruled by him.

LDW says on Tuesday March 4th, 2008 9:52:

Point taken tasco...

Which just reconfirms my comfort with a secular humanist point of view. All religion is just the product of the mind of man, and any religious philosophy that the mind of man can conceive, the mind of man debunk. If there were a universal truth, it would be apparent to us all without having to argue about it, and we wouldn't need "messengers".

My point still stands. Just because there is a lump of shit in one place will not cause me to embrace another lump of shit. For me, Islam stinks even worse. Maybe you think it's OK. In terms of all the religions out there, I happen to think that Islam, both in its teachings and the way those teachings are followed, is about the ugliest one of the bunch.

huskie says on Tuesday March 4th, 2008 9:53:

I recommend the following two books for a very interesting reading, perhaps you have read them already:

The Jewish Mind and The Arab mind, by Raphael Patai
These two books were published in the 70's and they both portray the societies and peoples of a complex and volatile region, Patai, a prominent anthropologist and historian, drew on both his research and his personal experience to produce this very important work in the field of Middle Eastern studies. With an updated foreword by Norvell B. DeAtkine, former director of Middle East Studies at the JFK Special Warfare School, The Arab Mind remains a relevant and crucial masterpiece of scholarship for anyone seeking to understand this multifaceted culture today.
Cheers
