I could, and it would be true, but I've been brought up to feel that such boasting is in bad taste (and might bring misfortune). I could also go on about have I have a good job, great kids, nice house, etc. But that, too, would seem, at the very least, impolite.

Usually people who are motivated enough to post about such things are those who are trolling for fresh meat and are hoping to glean some information or those who have been dumped and need a place to vent. The happy ones are too busy enjoying their life to sit down and brag about it on an internet chat board.

Consequently, you see what you see.

If Elmo were in Colombia and not in NYC waiting for the next sanitation emergency ;) you can bet he'd be busy with his women and not sitting around PBH telling everyone what a good time he is having.

I’m close to retirement and will have enough to get by. I have grown children in the USA and grand children who are fairly well setup. So my new wife and her family will be my primary focus.

I may be able to set them up in some kind of business to ease their situation. But it is early days yet and I will need to understand them better and to get their input before acting.

In studying the society there I came across what I originally thought was a small charity in Barranquilla. Evidently it is famous and devoted to helping people injured by the landmines planted by the guerillas. I had mentioned it to my wife and she expressed an interest in assisting also My feeling was if only I could clean toilets (I don’t have a big ego; and perhaps could get some pointers from Elmo) it would be a help and encouragement. Basically what I am seeking is action on a personal level and also to be an example to others who can be motivated to do likewise. Every little helps as the little boy said as he peed in the ocean!

The most important thing is to want to be part of the cure instead of part of the problem.

I'll add this though. Listen to Mario. He is on to something. I'll just add a bit more to it though. Can a forum ever outlive its usefullness? AKA: Boredom. As to philosophical debate......? In other words time.......the passage of time......is forcing people to want to see the forum "open up" some more. Opening up the forum includes talking about the forbidden fruits. I'm not saying that the site should be dedicated to talking about Colombian women. But there should not be this outright ban on it either just so you can appease a few ladies that find it offensive. Whether Tinto and Peter know it or not, a quick scan of the threads for the last month has shown that the topic comes back again and again albeit sometimes it's not so obvious at first. Other threads have been very obvious and forward and yet moderation has allowed them to proceede. I think even they realize it has been a losing battle to try and delete every thread that touches on women. Look, when people think of G5, they don't associate me with me with talking about women, sex and dating. They associate me with being PBH's biggest scare mongerer. On the other hand, at one time I was not a fan of guys going to Colombia to marry the girls (just ask Mario) but I really did change in that regard, and in some ways, it was Mario among others that helped me change. Nothing philosophical about it. I just figured who the fuck am I to be telling other people what they should be doing with their lives? If they're happy, who am i to say otherwise? So despite my stuborn nature, I can come around.

See Mario touched on it. The need to expand the content and format of the debates.....some chatting..BSing...something needs to be thrown into the mix here. CB attempts to do it. I like the format, especially the part where you can easily address someone's quote in your post. But from what I understand, (UC claims) moderation can be a bit heavy handed there too.

I don't know.......can't quite figure it out.

My point is people make mistakes all the time, and judging a woman because she is no longer a virgin or she is divorced (it happens a lot too) is just a little silly. I am not condoning promiscuity at all, hell if anything I lean towards the prude end of the spectrum but I have found some of the things people have said on this thread quite reprehensible...if a guy is not interested in a girl for anything other than her virginity then he is probably a douchebag who deserves a skanky woman instead.

I would not marry an extremely promiscuous woman only because I think it's a sign of some mental health issues, probably insecurity (not talking about destitute women here), not because it's immoral.
