Firstly see the difference between Heathrow Airport and then Madrid..

10 o'clock Heathrow

2pm Madrid
Both flights delayed so with a 1 hr 20 connection in Bogota i was pushing it.. It was quite hectic at El Dorado after waiting for my luggage off the flight but with 20 mins to spare got in line for the shuttle bus which took us directly to the flight to Medellin. By the time you get airbourne its time to land so just time to freshen up before being met.
Made the mistake of just taking a trolley at JMC airport to load my bags and the porters went mad at me..
As its only 30 feet to the doors i left him shouting at me
I was met with a bottle of ron and after introductions was driven to Porvenir where i stayed for 3 weeks

A Lovely town on the outskirts or RioNegro

Went into Medellin 3 times.. I recommend the bus ride down the mountain for $5,000 cop

Not a fan of Zoo's in general.. Medellin Zoo looked a bit sad

Some random pictures of Medellin

The Parque in RioNegro

Enjoyed a tinto for $500 here watching the movie and the ice cream is great

Will post some pics of Tutucan when i get time

I wonder if that person knows that when we push the FUNNY button, its because we are reading something outrageous, trying to be cynical, derogatory, sarcastic and/or obnoxious!" 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

clyde says on Oct 23, 2009, 18:20: This brings up a good point that people shouldn't be in such a rush to make it to the city. They should spend a couple of days around Rio Negro. It is very nice there.
