It's funny how im 100% gringo looking but when I wear my Voltiao many Colombians living here in the Tampa Bay area will approach me and start talking in spanish to me. After keeping my eyes out for one during my stay in Villavo, I conclude it is impossible to find the real thing in the llano. I am sure they are easier to find in Bogota, but I didn't have the time to go hat shopping. But if you want a cowboy hat in Colombia, Villavo is the place. I look to my right and there she is, the same older lady I saw yesterday wearing el sombrero vueltio,, She was waiting to cross Broadway too but this time she had another less colorful straw hat, also very popular during carnivals in Curramba.
