Hi everybody! I will be in Cartagena for a few days in May, then onto Curacao. I am looking for suggestions on where to stay, what to see in the day, and where to party at night. I am 36, love the beach and I like to party (drinking, not drugs). I am looking for mid to high range place to crash, however I want a place where in case I hook up, it won't be an issue to bring a woman back with me. I know this has probably been covered a million times, but I would appreciate your input. I have been reading PBH for awhile, you guys are a wealth of information. Thanks!

For two people it's $22 for a hotel with a balcony overlooking a interesting street witha university and a small whore bar. ************* WARNING ************* my words often come from my ass. www.independentbanff.com 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

scottyk5 says on Feb 10, 2008, 03:42: Thanks for the info, do you have any suggestions of hotels on the beach? If not I will try to find the info on Vegas. I am not real concerned with going on the cheap. Definitely want a/c.I do contract work in the middle east, so every four months I bust out and hit some town like a hurricane and try to fit four months of living and drinking into two weeks. While I am here I just stack the $$ and count the days until R&R.Looking forward to May. My spanish is pretty rudimentry right now, but hopefully improving by then. scottyk5 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Chriscan says on Feb 10, 2008, 04:53: There isn't much on the beach in Caratgena. The nicest beach is Play Blanca but all you can find there are tents a hammocks and no electricity. There are some small islands that I know have nice hotels but I doubt there is much party life out there. ************* WARNING ************* my words often come from my ass. www.independentbanff.com 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Electra is a place to pick up prostitutes but the party music is very good so you might find foreigners. I have stayed in Los Balcones de Badillo in the el centro which charged me 70,000 a night but it was not high season. It is a nice hotel with A/C. Not the type that someone goes for the hour but you could probably bring someone back. I also stayed in Hotel Artun which was down the street from Balcones, it was clean but not as nice and cheap $40,000 for A/C, 30,000 without. That was definitely a place that people paid by the hour. Smile if you are a thinker! 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

scottyk5 says on Feb 12, 2008, 21:23: Thanks for the tips, i ended up booking at The Dann. Now, any suggestions of "must see" stuff during the day and the best clubs to hit while partying at night? Not neccessarily looking for hookers, I would prefer to meet a regular girl. But, at 2 am, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. scottyk5 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

tomtom33 (☼Travelguide writer) says on Feb 13, 2008, 04:08: If it hits 2:00 am and you need to do what you gotta do, just walk out the front door of the Dann, cross the street, and walk up the stairs. The ladies of the LDV await.

scottyk5 says on Feb 13, 2008, 07:56: Right on bro! Hell at 2 am, I should just be hitting my stride for partying. Knowing me, I will probably become fixated on a couple of hot freelancers after I get a bad ass buzz and just turn up the volume from there. Like I said, I gotta fit 4 months of living into 2 weeks of vacation. No time to waste. Probably a good way to put it would be I am visiting to for the bad girls and the good times, with an off chance that that I will meet a good girl in a bad town. scottyk5 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
