Socca music in Colombia

When I was in CTG, I heard a lot of Socca music. Some of it was really good. I prefer they women singers. Does anybody know of good names that I can buy their cds.
thanks

Are you looking for Colombian soca music specifically?

Sure it was soca and not champeta?

Yeah you are correct. It was Soca. I thought it was from Africa.

Most music in the region is from Africa in one way or the other, mostly a long time ago. Champeta is an exception being that it is much more recent.

Yeah, I feel like in CTG it must have been something more like Champeta, which is similar. I´m not saying Soca doesn´t exist there, I´ve just never come across it. Gotta go to Port of Spain for that sort of thing. Alternatively you could listen here
