Hey I met him in 2006 at the hostel.. he's got sooo many stories. Basically he goes to the most conflict-ridden dangerous places in the universe and documents it in photos. His photos are incredible, but considering the cirmcumstance he has put himself in to take them, it is a miracle that he is still alive.

Remember when that hotel all the press were stayin at in Baghdad got bombed in 04 or there abouts? He was there!! He was putting together some books of his work, and he had the clipping with him I took a picture:

"So...did they break up?"

Yeah, having your head stoved in with rocks and then a bullet to the back of the head does that for a relationship. ;(

Do you know that Puerto Asis is called "Muerto Asis"

The photos are incredible in every which way, WOW, how sad but true is that life there, and we are we not aware of it.

Atrevido, I think Alma means to explain to you that she (the woman) is the one who is now dead.. so no, they won't be getting back together.

Lisa ... I know what you mean. I think it was splash of cold water for many of the travellers who flipped through the books that evening...It's so easy to see things one way or the other and forget the harshness of what goes on on the troubled areas. I know I felt that way.
