are there any ships that go to colombia from the usa other than cruise ships that only give you 7 hours of time on land???

Lionheart says on Feb 5, 2005, 20:08: Container Ships A friend of mine is Captain on a container ship. He told me that most of their ships have a few passenger berths available. He runs a Houston/Galveston route up the east coast, then across to various European ports to Hamburg, Germany, then back. Roundtrip time is 3 months. He told me of other routes, like Caribbean ports (including Colombia) then down South American Atlantic coast. Another is down and up Pacific coast, also including Colombia(Buenoventura) - some then cut across to Japan/Asia. Some do the Panama Canal as well.
