Does anybody who live in Medellin know how I can get a SIM Card (Subscriber Identity Module)?
Thanks
Cheers

try www.medellincellphones.com They will ship to you and you can activate upon arrival. You can also get packages with prepaid minutes.

You need an unlocked GMS cell phone for it to work.

Doc: I think unlocked means that you are not part of a network, ie AT&T or any US/Europe company, or t-mobile, I am not sure, but I think that is what it means, maybe someone else here can explain it better, I am not to savvy on how cell phones work, I know how to use one, but the rest of the technology is like chinese to me.

You can use any SIM card in Colombia for any city not just Medellin. In other words the cell phone numbers are dialed the same way regardless which city you are in. SIM cards are inexpensive in Colombia. Unlocked GSM Phones are easy to find in ebay. Almost all phones sold in Colombia can be unlocked cheaply; exceptions would be high end phones like blackberry.
