I am ashamed to ask this stupid question call me ignorant but it is doubt that I have.
The other day I was watching a documentary on National Geographic about Pablo Escobar Gaviria, I am not trying to judge anybody but I thought that there would not be not even a single colombian who thinks that Pablo Escobar was a good fellow, since as far as I know he committed several atrocities.
But to my surprise I have found some comments on the internet regarding Pablo Escobar and I must say I was surprised of what i have found.
"PABLO FUE LA PERSONA MAS BUENA, PERO EL GOBIERNO ASESINA, CONDENA, A MUCHA MAS GENTE SIN RAZON. PABLO ENFRENTABA A LOS QUE SE CREIAN GRANDE A LOS QUE QUERIAN TENER AL PAIS DE RUANA COMO PANTOFIMIO QUE ESTÿ COMO PEDRO POR SU CASA Y OTROS MAS QUE USTEDES SABEN Y SE HACEN LOS BOBOS PERO EL PUEBLO COLOMBIANO SABE QUE ES ASI, PERO EL JUICIO DE DIOS VENDRÿ Y EL QUE NO HAYA COMETIDO PECADO QUE LANCE LA PRIMERA PIEDRA."
When I read this comments I tried to figure out what Escobar did for them.
I recently learned that Oliver Stone is going to film a movie called "Escobar", I honestly, and in the light of the above and as a foreigner would prefer to pay to watch a documentary with "pros" (if there were some pros indeed) and cons for colombian people the legend of Pablo Escobar.
Is there a book that I can read regarding Pablo Escobar from real colombians' point of view?

Rob77 says on Oct 14, 2007, 13:43: Pablo had more money coming in than he knew what to do with. He spent some of it in his community. Many people were so grateful they mistakenly overlooked his extremely violent nature. They foolishly translated his generosity into redemption in their eyes.
