Sicario- The Movie

Just watched this movie on DVD with subtitles , seems to be loosely based upon the medellin cartel and Escobar , apparently it is based upon a true story anyone have any information about the real true story , I have scoured the net , but as yet found nothing.

I think you might have the Medellin angle a little bit confused.......there are over 300 hundred "Sicario" gangs in Medellin. The most famous (infamous) might be "La Terraza" and was Pablo Escobar's person sicario gang.

As the movie was made in Venezuela, I'm not sure that the reference to Sicarios were directed to Colombian Sicarios.

There was however, a movie called, La Virgen de los Sicarios which was shot entirely in Medellin and took out the prestigious Colombian Movie of the Year Award. You might be referring to this one ???
