Should Uribe forgive Chavez ( Forgive and go on Or Seek his Arrest )

If the documents proove to be true, and Chavez aided the Farc.
In knowing how much blood shed and heart ache, they the Frac have caused
in their crimes against Colombian citizens.

Is it wise for Uribe to forgive Chavez and keep good relations with Venezuela, or should Uribe seek the arrest of Chavez.

It's too late for Uribe to seek his arrest. That's after the Santo Domingo's meeting and that's what Chavez masterminded from the very beginning.

The only chance to see Chavez prosecuted for the evidences contained in the three computers has got a name: USA.
Or something unexpected happening in Venezuela.

Do you think accpeted and with drew his troops , to keep Uribe from further denouncing him as a Farc supporter.
The willingness of Chavez to accept a agreement at the summit, has
caused many in Colombia and Venezuela to wander why , after he deployed troops to the border and called Uribe and Colombia, Warlords and Bush Babies , Uribe and Chavez gave each other a hug and shook hands.

Could go both ways...If Uribe pushes to have him convicted, then he would further bury himself with his actions in addition to not being able to leave his country especially if the Generals desire to over throw him...should he exit the border then he would be immediately arrested. Better possibly for the stabilization of the region if he was out of the picture. Either way I believe if the evidence is indeed true he is f_ _ _'d

Uribe does not necessarily HAVE to do anything DIRECTLY himself....he can use other persons for his purpose.

For example, I understand he has already agreed to allow international experts examine the contents of the 3 laptops. If this information really stands up to neutral testing it automatically throws a burden on Chavez (and Correa) without Uribe needing to do anything further himself.

Similarly, if the allegations of funding/arming the FARC appear convincing there are other aggrieved parties as well as Colombia. The Venezuelan people for example who may well wish to ask difficult questions of their president. In this day and age the unofficial transmission of privileged information has become an artform...thus, simple enough to pass any incriminating data on to opposition groups and let them perform their role.

I am not completely sure about this, but

Bush is currently investigating the procedures and steps to go through to declare Venezuela a State that sponsors terrorism. So what. BFD! Let ‘em, Chavez…he don't care and he will just cut off oil to the U.S. But, wait bucky there's more! What does it mean when a country is put on the evil list of terror sponsoring states?

1) The U.S. government will not do business with Venezuela who is one of two countries that has the routine capacity to process sour (high sulfur) crude. The other country is Canada and they only have a few large refineries that can process sour crude.
2) Private companies like Citgo & 7Eleven are forbidden to do business with Venezuela and (drum roll please).
3) Governments and private businesses that do business with the U.S. will not be allowed to do business with Venezuela and maintain their contracts in the U.S.

So…have you noticed that Chubby is demanding that Ingrid be freed? Have you noticed that they just captured a Colombian/Mexican/?? drug trafficker? Have you noticed how quickly Chubby withdrew his army from the Colombian border and immediately restored diplomatic relations with Colombia? Have you noticed how complacent the Chubber was during the Rio discussions? If it looks like a duck and walks like a duck….etc.

Quack!

It is not life that matters, but the journey.

It's my understanding that Uribe said he would not pursue prosecution at the moment, he said nothing about forgiveness.

Stayed tuned...The Bugs Bunny "That all folks!" jingle hasn't played yet........

Colombia and Venezuela have a lot of trade. Uribe can not exactly arrest Chavez, but I'm sure forgiveness will take a long time coming. I don't think there is a lot to gain by using more inflammatory rhetoric at this stage.
