Someday I hope to move to Colombia. I will have (Colombian) health insurance from my employer there. But what happens when I visit the U.S. for a couple of weeks? Do I just go without insurance and hope for the best, or do I spend $1,000 a year or so just to keep my U.S. catastrophic policy in effect?
