Shipping puppy from Colombia to USA

Hey guys,

I'm planning on buying a puppy in Colombia for my next trip.

Can anybody direct me on the do's and don'ts for bringing a pet to the States?

What are the restrictions? - etc.

Thanks!

If You go to the FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS section you will find all the updated info on that.

Just in case you an't find it...............there are only a few things.......before travel a pup must have received all it's shots and you get a health certificate from a vet within 7 days of travel.

Anything else is up to your airline. Call them for their rules. I have always found Avianca the best. They allow, one pet per cabin ,and have size and weight restrictions. Most airlines also charge a little extra for the pet. $75 - $100.

All in all.......the process is very easy..................only kidding about the FAQ earlier.

Why buy the pup here, there are more varieties and better quality control in the US?

Yeah, half of the price, after paying for the transportation and custom.

The problem with English cocker is that they like to shit on the wrong bed and then they need to be taken care of...

Yeah..........But I had to train him to shit where I tell him............

The Colombian bred pups also are stronger.........they just bounce off cars.

I do not know about Colombia, but the puppy mills in the U.S. are running full tilt. Be very careful!
