I know this is a long shot but does anyone have any experience shipping personal items to Colombia? I have several average size boxes to send from either Argentina, Chile or Uruguay. I'm thinking of using DHL unless someone has a better solution.
Thanks

Plato says on Nov 26, 2006, 20:19: Yeah, USPS does have a good deal. They insure it for the full cost of the item for a fraction of the cost that private delivery services charge. May as well try it. Mononoke28 says on Nov 27, 2006, 14:52: The problem with the USPS is that once it makes it to Colombia, they take their sweet old time to deliver anything they get, or even steal it. You might pay extra so it can get there faster and even insure your package here in the States, but once it gets there... you have to leave it all in God's hands. Pray every day to el Divino Baby and 8 times out of 10, your package will make it safe and sound. The other 2, it also makes it safe and sound but to someone else's house. =D Diana 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Saltador says on Nov 27, 2006, 19:39: Part 2 I think the true problem with the addressing is that the colombian postal workers see a package or envelope, from a gringo, to a colombiana, and figure there is a chance the guy is sending money.
