Try tipping the contents of your box into the nearest rubbish tip: you'll have the same end-result as posting it, yet at a fraction of the price

Expat, & AB. Thanks. AB. Is there a phone number for the Post Office? That would probably be the cheapest route. Thanks again.

Hi Buongone, I would recommned you Deprisa, operated by Avianca; as I have sent boxes to the States and they arrive safe and in short time (3 to 4 days), also you can check online where your package is, that gives you more confidence. Please do not use Correos de Colombia (Known before as Adpostal) ,althought they are cheap, those guys take forever to deliver the packages, from 2 to 3 months if you are lucky ;)

Angelita. Is that the post office route AB was talking about? Expidited delivery. How is the price with Deprisa. Also I would need it turned ovr to one of Avianca's partners to make the final leg up to Alaska. If it is not too bad of a price, just have it shipped all the way through. I wish I would have known about it when I had two bags stranded in SFO over X-mas. Mexicana black out on excess baggage. That was costly. $909.00 to get 2 wheeled duffle bags full of X-mas presents headed to Cali. And that was cheap. Everybody else said I needed a shippers certification number. I have one with Alaska Airlines. But even Continental /Copa said no go. And they are Alaska'a partner. Thanks

I had trouble with both Avianca and Adpostal.

I sent a letter THREE times from Armenia to Italy. The letter would get to Bogota where some aviancan idiot would look at the BACK of the envelope and see my return address in Armenia and send it back to me once again. It would show up about a month later. Third time it worked.

The guys in Adpostal told me never to send anything of value with them, at least they were honest.
