Service Center Processing Dates

I have awaiting anxiously to receive for the California Processing Center to handle my application for a Fiance Visa. The processing dates between October 1 and November 1 remained showing at the same July 5 date. On November 18 they changed the processing date for a I-129F only to July 15. I was always told it takes about three months and apparently it looks to be closer to 4 or more months. Is this processing date for the center correct? Do they "catch up" to a different date all at one time? Or are I-129F's getting little priority now?

Yeah, they will update every few weeks or so. My fiancee and I just recieved our visa yesterday. I had to go through the Nebreska service center when I sent mine in. I started in early April and We just recieved ours as of Yesterday. So...about 6 and a half months for us. Some recieve theirs sooner though. Oh, when you get to the interview at the Consulate phase....She can pick her visa up in person the next day at the Consulate after 4pm.

Big Fuss about CSC I'm a member over at www.visajourney.com, you might want to check that out if you have not done so yet.

But there is a thread where many people are making a big fuss about the California Service Center handling the K-1 and K-3 visas aplications. There seems to be a pretty big backup on Visa aprovals that are going through the California and Texas Service Centers. Many aplicants that have Texas as their service centers are having their applications sent over to the California Service Center because of an apparent back up in Texas. Now the California Service center is all backed up.

Many people there are furious because folks applying for their Visas through the Nebraska and Vermont Centers are getting approved more quickly than those than in California. There have been some cases of folks applying in Verm or Neb many weeks or even a month or so after another applicant going through California and Texas, and they're getting approved before them.

There is tons of good information on the website. I would suggest you check it out, plus I'm sure they'll be able to answer your question regarding the processing dates on the website.

The California Service Center does not handle K-3 petitions. They are all handled by the National Benefits Center in Missouri. They do handle the I-130 petitions which one has to file first before you can file an I-129F for a K-3.

UC is right..... I stand corrected. What I initially meant to say was the I-130, which needs to be filed first before one can start the K-3. Thanx for the correction.

Processing Dates Awry? I looked on the website you suggested and it is indeed excellent. Thanks for suggesting it. I noticed one post of a lady who had her 129-F received by the California Service Center on July 29, 2005 and has already received her approval in early November 2005. That indicates to me that the processing dates are not correct as shown on the CSC site. Any other folks find the same happening?
