Selling pesos in the United States

I've just returned from Colombia with about 350000 pesos and am looking to get rid of them. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to best exchange pesos for dollars? I've tried two banks (Wachovia and a more local credit union) in my town without success. I live in Asheville, NC. Any help is appreciated.

Gringodan, how much will you sell your pesos for? My wife is going in a few months to Colombia and will take them off your hands if the price is right. Do you have an email or your pm open? Thank you much, George

Man, you live in one of God's great locations! Asheville and the Lake Lure area, are destinations of most of those bounce backs or half backs as we call them in our part of the country.

Hola!

Keep them and then they will go up in value when you return!

I made $25 by loaning a person 800,000 pesos in Colombia, since the Dollar fell! Your exchange rate will be BAD doing it in the USA also! Want to lose $20 or more in your value to get rid of them?

Hola!

I made $25 since the money was not in my USA bank account. It was in Colombia. The PESO GREW and the DOLLAR FELL!

Hola!

$25 is more than my IRA made in 15 months! I did it in 4 months with 800,000 pesos!

The dollar is falling like a brick... Even the Mexican Peso is kicking the dollar around!

I remember maybe about a year or two ago I was checking currency values for the dollar and Colombian peso and the rate was about 2,500 to 1. Now it's 1,750 to 1 and still in the freefall. Hold on to your Colombian Pesos... I am sure it'll go below 1,500 before the elections. If you have a Washington Mutual bank in your area they'll probably exchange your foreign currency. Same with Wells Fargo (but they take a big bite out of the value).

So it certainly looks like you are "fart smeller" Lookatmepee.
