There was a post about American Airlines flights from $89 From MIA to Bogota....My wife and I booked a couple of flights, with that fare, leaving the last week in December. All we needed to do was book flights from the Northwest, to MIA..
Today, I found flights on Southwest for $109, one way to MIA... It seems like the drop in fuel prices are really starting to put some downward pressure on flight prices...

johnny2008 says on Nov 12, 2008, 16:50: Not so fast Kat1, I checked Air France's colombian website today and they have an offer BOG to LHR which is cheaper than BOG to CDG. It still isn't pocket money but I have never seen them giving away flights to UK before.

teeo9111 says on Nov 13, 2008, 08:25: Do not use expedia they will never give you the best rates!!! Use cheaptickets.com or kayak.com then once you see the airlines that are flying to your particular destination check the airlines website and you MIGHT save a few more bucks and you will sometimes find more availability of flights

lpdiver says on Nov 13, 2008, 09:00: Another trick to try if you are travelling with a child is find your cheapest fare on adults and shop for the childs ticket. They claim to charge half fare for children but will mark the adult rates up to compensate. I have called the airlines and "upon inquiry" always get a better rate on a childs seat. mandotech says on Nov 13, 2008, 09:02: Kayak is the best site, I have found. They compare the prices of most of the other sites. I got RT California to Bogota for $501 for late November. I bought these in mid-October.

casa_de_norte says on Nov 15, 2008, 10:48: GS-It seems like flying into cities, other than Bogota, are a wee bit more expensive, depending on the gateway city? I think it really sucks, in general, how airfare has gone up from a year/year and a half ago....My wife and I were still living the "two country" existence, and traveled back and forth alot.. Seemed like the going fare, out of Houston and LAX, was between $500-$700, depending travel dates.....Now $1000 on a decent carrier is good! "Why cain't we all jus' git along?!?! goin_south says on Nov 15, 2008, 12:43: c_d_n,..... I disagree, from what I have been looking at RECENTLY....
