Seasons in Medellin - Not just the City of Eternal Spring?

Yes, Medellin is the City of Eternal Spring, but does anyone know more specifically -- the variances in weather from "quarter to quarter?"

Even a microclimate may have micro-variances. Or maybe certain months tend to have more blue sky days than others - even if total rainfall is the same.

How wide is the radius of similar weather? Any good maps?
On that note - what is the best place in MDE to buy maps and guidebooks.

Thanks.

circusoflife March & April, End of October to early December are the rainy months in Medellin, plus more cloudy, a bit colder than normal, especialy at night.

Whatever... ... there are no specific months of when it rains or doesn't rain. Just be prepared for either and you'll be ok.

Mononoke28 I would tend to disagree.

It rains more in the months stated above than other months, a lot more in those months.

FWIW - the LP Colombia shows that MDE has the most rain in April, May, and October (The most) - 8 inches. Temperature graph looks stable year round - but doesn't reflect humidity or wind speed.

March shows to be low at 4". January and Feb near 2".

I bought an umbrella on the street for 5k COP. (Alot cheaper than Exito at 15-20k!) Same type it looks.

Thanks. I'll probably won't even notice it that much after awhile. I used to live in Orange County, CA, USA - I seldom tracked the weather because it was so predictable. If it looked different, well, I guess I would know when I went outside.

Bologni... ... those charts are never accurate. Every time my family says it's raining they blame it on El Niño, if that doesn't rain, they blame it on La Niña. It's hilarious!

There are no set months on when it rains the most or doesn't. Colombia is a tropical country where any kind of weather can happen at any time. Not like here in the States where we have a set of 4 seasons. So take your umbrella and windbreaker with you to be safe.

And here is another thing, in Colombia they don't show the weather forecast during the news like they do here. So if it rains it's more like a "surprise, you're wet!" type of thing. It's hard to get ready for it. Odd.

No weather forecast on the news? That...is different. And perhaps refreshing.

I have yet to watch the tv news though...so I guess it makes no difference. Enough from the Internet.

Thankfully there are many big trees and taxis in the event it does rain really hard and I have no umbrella on me.
