Searching For English Speaking Colombian Immigration Lawyer

Hi, this a message for any English speaking lawyers based in Bogotá who are familiar with Colombian Immigration Law. I want to change my visa status; I am currently in Colombia representing my company on a Business Visa. However, the assignment is coming to an end but I want to remain in Colombia independent of the company I currently work for. I therefore want to engage a lawyer to advise me on the various options available to me and to help me through the whole process. word of advice Hello paul
welcome to our country. I'm not a lawyer. I leaved in the US for 20 years, now i'm in Bogota. Your best bet is to find a translator and have him or her call DAS (colombian imigration) an attorney is going to ask you for a bunch of money for something so simple. I have a friend (girl) that worked in the hotel business and is bilingual and maybe she could help. just want to extend a helping hand, but if you have the money yes maybe a lawyer is a good choice.
