Enough Colombians are out of work... Plus what good is German or English going to do him.

How is his spanish? I'd say his prospects are close to nil, but you can always try.

If I was running a language school I'd like a native English speaker that can help neutralize the spanish accent.

obstacles, for sure I know what you mean by pointing out the Spanish requirement in Colombia and the truth is that his spanish is almost "non existent". Nevertheless, I guess that someone may need a person like him and that is why I'm asking for help here. The fact of many Colombians searching for a job is another issue, but I guess that with his description the truth is that he won't be competing for jobs with much of them. Dont you think?
I guess you simply have no useful INFO, or do you?

Sure it's useful Since when is pointing out reality not useful. Unfortunately, one does not always get to hear what one wants to hear.

You never pointed out that his spanish was non-existent. This of course makes he prospects even worse.

I'm sorry but when you place a question like this on a board you're going to get responses from all over the spectrum. This one is no exception.

Good luck

All due respect Ronald,

I have my style and you have yours. What I'm stating is the truth, negativity would be your perception.

Why would I refrain my posts?

Thanks a lot Ronald :) I'm glad one can find people who's willing to help. I hope that my boyfriend contacts you and that you can help him now that you say you can. The truth is that if he doesn't find a job here in Bogota we won't be able to be together for long time :( (that's why I'm helping him with this task that has resulted more difficult than what we both thought in the begining it was going to be).
Thanks for your help,

LILIANA :)

pepster Hi

I'v been reading PBH for a few years, some of the opinions I read are excellent and a lot are too dumb to ever finish reading, like the comments of the Pepster.
Ronald 1168 knows why people read PHB.

But Pepster we live in a free world......

Let me know how you go M-Girl Hey Liliana

Let me know how your boyfriends goes with finding a job in Colombia.
My girlfriend and I are soon to be in the same position, she being Colombian and me an Australian (with little to no Spanish) currently live in Australia but she wants to return to Bogota, and wants me to go with her.
I figure if I can get some kind of non-spanish speaking work for a year or so, my spanish will get a chance to improve quite alot.
(If that doesn't work out I have to convince her to come back to Australia with me I guess)

Anyway, like I said, would be nice to hear how you go.

GOOD LUCK!
