Search: Apt or Aparthotel in Cali

Hi There, I am looking at spending soem time in Cali and am looking for information on cheaper long term accomodation. I would ideally like to rent an apartment and have heard of rates from 150 USD to 300 USD / month. Does anyone have any contacts for these (this info is purely from a Expat I met in Cali and I didnt follow up at the time).

Additionally, there were aparthotels across from the Intercontinetal hotel which I think were about 50,000 pesos a night. Any info on these? This oculd be the place i start from. my normal Hotel near Chippi chappy costs about 65,000 P a night.

Thanks for any help

Renting in Cali Anyone traveling to Cali should check out Cali Plaza; (Some information here copied from Cali Plaza website: www.CaliPlaza.com. Cali Plaza is an Apartment/Condominium building with Rental Suites. It is American Owned and one of the most convenient locations in Cali:
Over 50 Restaurants, Bars, and Discotecs within walking distance. 3 ATM’s within 1/2 block. Travel Agencies, Grocery and Convenience Stores, and Laundries nearby. Almost everything you need within walking distance. Cali Plaza is ideally located in the middle of the Tourist and Entertainment District of Sixth Avenue in Cali, ...also located a few blocks from Downtown and Business District. (Check out their photo section at CaliPlaza.com and you can view the rooms and see the convenience of their location.) The website is in English.

Most everyone visiting Cali, visits Sixth Avenue; ... Staying in the middle of this area is convenient, plus saves time and money spent on transportation.

Cali Plaza Administrator and Owner both speak English, therefore many Americans hang out there. ... For any of you wanting marriage visas or information, Gonzalo Services is also located in Cali Plaza. They do more visas in Cali, than anyone else.

bickerss you are right No need to pay over 200 Us Dollars for a rental place on long term base. This is almost 2/3 of a monthly income for a local person with a descent job. I am making contact with an expat in Cali (for the moment) living already 12 years in Cali with his "caliente" woman. Once I receive more information on where to find (in a secure barrio) a rental place I hope it will be appreciated to share this information. I'm going to Cali at the end of February 2006. So I have plenty of time to find. Meanwhile I hope there will follow informations and descriptions of the places which will be available due to the friend in Cali i'm contacting for the moment. Also some local chicas are trying to help me out with rather more "upscale" villa's with swimmingpool. This as I am not going alone but with a friend from my country. And we sure would like our private mansion for the period we will be there. No hassle with lobby's or guests that can be disturbed by our nightly noises. :-))

I am looking for an aparthotel in the san fernando area. It's going to be for 3-4 weeks for 3 persons.
We are having our surgeries done in that area. So far only came up with expensive hotels for 100 usd a night!
Any suggestions?
