Search: Aparthotels in Bogota

Good day!

I am to spend a couple of months in Bogota. The best option is therefore to get a room in an aparthotel. Can someone provide specifics for aparthotels: location and price range and email? I could live anywhere from Centro up to the North. I will work in Chapinero. I prefer to hang out with the kind of people who work in Centro and Chapinero rather than the would-be uppities of the North. Chapinero would be a good balance. This info is important to me, as I could not locate it on Internet. Thank you so much.

Best,
Mike

There is a great Apartment hotel in Bogota called Viaggio apartments. There are many locations. 2 I think in Chapinero Alto. They are very reasonable for monthly rates. Everything is included, even laundry. There is housecleaning everyday. They even will do your dishes. The hotel rooms are really nice. With coffee machines, ovens, blenders, pots pans.

The newest one which is really as beautiful as any top rate hotel is in Chico(about 1 mile from the one is Chapinero). The cost is about $900 a month. Balcony included. The rooms are gorgeous. The beds are queens and made of modern look(think Ikea but better). The matress is plush and confortable. the rooms are big parkay floors, carpeting, modern couches, kitchen table and chairs, marble bathrooms.

. The one is Chico is located in a top rate neighborhood with the best restaurants and stores(Louis Vuitton, Versace, Kenneth Cole). Also has a great mall. The top restaurant is still really cheap to eat in. About $10.00 American dollars.

The phone number to this hotel is 011 57 1 635 8590 or 011 57 1 635 8843. You can ask for Jose gabriel, Roxanna or Ingrid. They all speak English fluently and will help you with everything.

Airport pick up is about $10.00,and they will wait for you for as long as it takes to get through customs.

They have a website( I forgot the webpage) which shows some of their older rooms. But it does not show or do justice to the one in Chico called ViaGGio El Virrey. Oh, the bathrooms are also gorgeous. Probably the best deal in Bogota.

The 2 hotels in Chapinero are La Salle and Viaggio financiero. Located on Calle 61 and Clle 62. Carerra 3 and 5.
The one is Chico El Virrey is on 86th. Really a cool cosmopolitan area. You will love it.

Many thanks, Colombiana2000 for this detailed info. I sure will give them a buzz to check the price and availability of those in Chapinero Alto (I will work around Calle 40). Chévere!

Take it easy!

try the yellow pages By searching for "apartamentos amoblados" on www.paginasamarillas.com.co I was able to find many furnished apartments in Medellin and there's probably even more in Bogota.

I checked out this one (The one is Chico El Virrey is on 86th. Really a cool cosmopolitan area. You will love it) mentioned by colombiana2000. It is very nice and right next door to Zona Rosa - prime location. I found it a bit expensive though at 110,000 pesos per night (for me) and the owner was not willing to negotiate even if I stayed for an extended period, so gave it a miss. But if u have the money, its quite good!

There is a great apartment hotel in Bogota---- Has anybody the webstite for the hotel on 86th - Chico El Virrey? My search efforts were unsuccessful. The wonderful description sounds just what I'm looking for. Thanks for the phone number, Colombiana2000, but I'm reluctant to phone from Australia at this stage.

(I love this website - what a mixed bunch of people/topics! And is the elmo man for real?)

Virrey Hi, I am here now at the Chico El Virrey. It is very nice and the people that work here are great! You would be very happy here. I will be leaving here in about a week and a half. I will have been here for a month with no regrets. The total price to me was $1045 american dollars. I will still be in Bogota, I just rented an apartment....which is beatiful...and about the same price as the hotel, but much bigger and plusher!

Chico El Virrey Thanks for those reports about the Viaggio El Virrey. The place seems to be a good option in Bogota.

Yet nobody mentionned in-room safety boxes .... what about this point ?

Thanks in advance.

We need a reasonable price and do not mind living off the reservacion. We have lived in Latin countries for awhile and pretty much understand what’s happening. We have also researched the city and country very throughly. We are American jubilados on a fixed income... Please respond to Carlitosamigos
please all the information and price of your aparment. Please include the phone, electricity, water, trash,TV,computer and all other costs.
Thanks for your help

How do you make the reservations to this place? I don't see to find these places by google-ing them. Btw, a web page requesting credit card information must be secured and encrypted or else there is no way to submit confidential info

Take a look at these web pages which I found... Url: http://www.suitesreal.com/en/tarifas85.htm

Url: http://www.viaggiosuites.com/paginas/menu.html

Let me know if you use these. I am planning to go to Bogota, but I need to get vacation approval at work, and I will not know until possibly next week at the earliest.

By the way, these are some of the places mentioned above in other posts.
