Hi, i´m in Bogotá at the moment and am looking for a one bedroom apartment (apartestudio)for about six - eight months, but haven´t had much luck! I´ve tried several inmobiliarias, but most seem to be renting only 2 and 3 bedroom apartments. I´m looking for something in Ciudad Salitre (where my family lives) or something between Calle 100 and 72, to the east of Crr 11. I´m also willing to share a two bedroom apartment with a student or other young person. I´ve already tried searching around this site for more help, but i thought i would post just in case anyone had any leads.
Thank you!

Lostgringo says on Feb 7, 2006, 21:07: $500 a Month! Well I am not sure what to say here regarding the rent for my apartment. It is a 3 bedroom with custom hardwood floors. Two baconies and two bathrooms. A bathroom in the master bedroom. Beautiful view of the mountains. I am only 2 blocks away from the American Embassy. And, about a 15 minute walk to Salitre Plaza. I have seen some of the apartments for rent in Bogota. Many have badly stained carpets and a year's lease. You need to have someone sponsor you who owns property just to rent an apartment. This apartment is in a brand new building. Everything is new! And there is no lease! Try renting a room here by the day. I was paying around $50 USD a day for a room before my apartment was ready. Sure it is not dirt cheap but it sure beats living in a $17 a day room in Estrado 2. That is what it works out to...$17 a day for 30 days is around $510. I have posted some pics of this apartment for your convenience. Thanks for all your input.
