Saving Sea Horses

I suppose most everyone is aware of Colombia's position as being one of the richest nations in terms of biodiversity. Here's a story about one piece of that treasure that is threatened.

Como en los humanos, en los animales vivir en comunidad no es fácil, pues el poder y fuerza de unos subyuga a otros haciéndolos ver indefensos.

Bajo esta premisa, el más grande se sobrepone al chico. Pero tanto en uno como en otro, hay un factor externo y común que altera y de-sestabiliza el orden de las cosas: el hombre, con su inconciencia y maldad.

Estos aspectos atañen a quizás el animal marino más pequeño, hermoso, exótico, frágil y ‘noble’ que existe: el caballito de mar, un sedentario vertebrado del Caribe, hoy en alto riesgo de extinción por la contaminación de su hábitat y por la sobrepesca.
