No one should be surprised at Santos' desire to be president. The guy has been posturing for a while now.

I like Santos, he's good guy and would keep giving the terrorists hell!! Santos or Araujo are my picks.

except for Dick Cheney, who's smart to know he wouldn't have a prayer - what vice president DOESN'T want to be president?

... Araujo?

... Araujo ?

...

Why?

Hopefully neither Santos nor Arias (yuck )
I think it´s too early to jump in the game. Probably someone like Fajardo to build on what Uribe has accomplished regarding security. However I think he´s inexperienced and still unknown.

I say Fajardo or Pardo. Both honest, smart, moderate men.

I don't know where I saw the results from a poll taken in Colombia which put Sergio Fajardo at the top of peoples choice for the next president of Colombia.

I also like Fajardo, but I just hope he doesn't turn out to be a softy if he's ever elected president. You know the type, the one's who'll concede half the country to negociate with and appease terrorists. We already had one of those and it turned out to be a disaster!

I don't have anything against Santos but this is starting to sound like a Colombian beauty contest. With that said I'd like"

President Uribe as Reina (again)
Santos as Vireina
Sergio Fajardo as Primera princesa
Araujo as Segunda Princesa

Yeah, it's a a slow day at work today... =D

Mr. Hollywood says on Jun 2, 2008, 10:20:

Slguy, the Santos this article refers to is the Minister of Defense Juan Manuel Santos, not the Vice President, Franciso "Pacho" Santos. They're cousins, I believe.

What astonishing to me is that cabinet officers are being openly quoted speculating that Uribe might decide to run for a 3rd term.
