San Andres in August

I went to San Andres last August. It was quite full up and not easy to find a hotel, Yes there's lots of Colombians go there then, mainly couples and families, you might find it hard to make friends with them. The true locals are black and speak English, or at least something quite similar, they will party with you readily enough if you buy the drinks and like horrendous loud music. It is a beautiful island but I think it is not the easiest place to meet and make friends.

how about December?? we're thinking of heading there for four or five days in early december ... should be okay with accommodation? is the best way to get a package deal, or should we be fine grabbing a flight and sorting accom when we get there???

San Andres is not really a party destination, although there's party alright. If you're looking for party, try Cartagena or one of the big cities.

Right Peter San Andres is not a party island, lot`s of Colombians go there to relax with thier families on package tours all inclusive. The local chicas wont have any thing to do with you so it`s hard to hook up. Lots of drug money on the island as it is a laundry place. as said befor if you are willing to buy all of the drinks you can party with the locals.
There are four great Ca- houses on the island and they will treat you well though.
