San Andrés will be packed with people during Semana Santa, do book now. Lots of high school teens as most graduation trips tend to happen during these time of the year for schools that finish school year in June, which is quite a few from Bogotá and a lot from Cali.

The place is heaving in Semana Santa. Like they mentioned above, lots of school trips after the end of the exams. I passed by all the bars and they are full of kids in Semana Santa. I much preferred to stay in the hotels. The airport is always mayhem when a few planes arrive at the same time!

I've never been in San Andres in Semana santa but I was there like 4 months ago and I was amazed about the improvements of the island ( 8 years ago was my last visit) , specially the beach where most of the hotels are located.

I booked a trip to San Andres for the summer holidays (i.e. July) - and just got there in time. My guess is that SA is fully booked up for Semana Santa by now.

I may be going to San Andres and I looked at the sunset hotel and noblehouse, I want to go scuba diving and it will be the first time so have any of you been to either one of these hotels? can you give me suggestions? I may be going solo and want a relaxing calm and fun few days on my own so will either one of these two hotels work?

In my opinion san andres is a nice place to go with your girlfriend or wife for a relaxing vacation on a beautiful beach. I would hate to go during a busy holiday and have to wait several hours to take a boat ride or just do anything cause of the crowd. It's a very small island afterall. Most of the people are tourists and I didn't really see many "hot girls" there. Although there were plenty of quinceneras or however you spell it. The discos sucked there.
