I will be travelling to Popoyan, Tierra Adentro & San Agustin over the xmas period and was wondering was sort of risk is attached to these areas? Any advice would be appreciated

I went with the University that insisted that we travel that route. There were no problems and it was a beautiful but very long drive. But, it can be exiting, and I have travelled the usual route via Popayan before (whivh is longer too, when coming from Pasto). Interesting with any info.
