I agree Boricua Morena. Arroyo is one of them that still have a great sound. Màs fe, màs abrazos, màs besos, màs disculpas, màs visitas a nuestros amigos antiguos nos haràn màs plenos cada vez. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

nanis says on Jan 24, 2005, 12:28: SALSA ROCKS!! Well guys I absolutely love guateque, I love old salsa and I hate the new romantic salsa with those young good looking guys as singers the only good thing about them is their looks because their music stinks!

"vive la vida mira que se va y no vuelve!" that's my motto too

gabriel says on Jan 24, 2005, 17:13: Adela, el rey de la puntualidad is the name of one of his songs. Your right the song makes fun of the fact that the man was never on time to his concerts. When I was un pelaito, Lavoe use to come to panama for carnaval. Yerba mala nunca muere.... 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

utopiacowboy says on Jan 24, 2005, 18:07: Ruben Blades, now you're talking, Adela! Correct me if I'm wrong but I get the impression that salsa and merengue music is not as popular in Colombia as say, vallenato? It seems to be increasing in popularity here in San Antonio. Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

colombiviri says on Mar 9, 2005, 12:30: SALSA Unfortunately el valle del cauca has been swamped by vallenato, reggaeton, and cumbia. The reality is like what Hecot Lavoe once said, if you can make it in Cali as a salsero, you can make it anywhere. I hate to say this but it seems like Colombians appreciate salsa more than the Boriquas do and its their music.
