Perhaps this is clearer: Venezuela visa needed (excepto si se ingresa por vía aérea) Exception no visa required if you arrive by air. Or if you fly in no visa is needed.

MRE(Colombian Ministry of External Relations) Functions like the USA State Department. My information came from MRE site. http://www.minrelext.gov.co/wps/portal and their info is current through July 1, 2006. If you are that concerned I would suggest you call the embassy./consulate of the country you plan to travel to and get the info from the horses mouth.

I believe the web site of the Colombian Embassy USD has this information. Also the airlines can supply you with the info because they WILL NOT transport to a country that will NOT allow entry if the passenger does NOT have the proper paper work.

the brazilians stopped my colombian wife when we went to Brazil because she needed to show proof of yellow fever vaccination. Since part of the Amazon is in Colombia, all colombians have to show they are vaccinated (then again, what percentage is brazil?). Since she was pregnant, they couldn't give her the shot and let us pass. I being from the US had to pay $100 for a brazilian visa.
