Roundtrip airline tickets non-stop LAX - BOG $722 for December / Jan.

I know it's kind of early to be booking already but Avianca is starting a new direct flight from Los Angeles to Bogota in June. We use to fly on Copa thru Panama but got tired of the layovers. Looks like Continental doesn't have the flights from Houston to Bogota anymore? What do people usually pay for flights in December?

Yes it's LAX to Bogota on Avianca. I just hope they are still in business come December. Well I paid via American Express just incase. Thursday, Saturday & Sunday. LAX to BOG and BOG to LAX same days. Service starts on June 15th, 2006. Flight time is 8 hours and 30 minutes. Call Avianca to book now 800 284-2622. The lowest price I could find is $688/rt which includes all taxes / fees.

Yes - You can book on-line. I used firefox and got to the last page and it couldn't complete the transaction. www.avianca.com
I called the 800 # and had to book online with an agent. He asked me the price I was quoted online. I should have told him $300 roundtrip. That was the price I paid last time when I booked using priceline.com But I flew continental SAN - HOU - BOG and I booked 2 weeks before Easter. I wasn't planning to really go, I was just checking how low I could get tickets for. But the transaction went through and I was committed to flying to Colombia. A land I didn't know with a language I couldn't speak. Oh and I had to tell my work I was going to Colombia. Then I had to hear all the jokes about what the hell are you going there for!!!!!

Wow. Prices have really jumped. Two weeks ago, PHX-CTG was only $630, now it's up to $830 (Continental). So much for my summer visit.
