Room or apartment to rent in Medellin for the end of March?

Hey all, i've not been active on here for a while as i've been working in the west of Ireland and this website can be a big distraction if you want to get anything done, as a lot of you guys know.

I've purchaced my ticket back to Medellin so i will be looking for a place to stay once i get there as the offer to stay at my Girlfriends house is a nice thought but not sure how long i could handle that.

I went through an agency the last time which was a pain to say the least. I'll be staying for at least 6 months, no longer than 12.

I like Envigado & Sabaneta but i'm open to any sugestions, nothing too expensive please.

I think I need to get married. I have been with one woman for 3.5 years now and I need a visa. That might be the best option to stay in the country and the easiest for all parties. Technically, I am sure we are married under common law. Larry

i live in Envigado. Every week theres more and more signs for rent - the recession.
I'd visit the major stores that all have loads of ads on their poster walls.
Also just walk around and ask of the owner at the local corner tiendas or just knock at the doors that have the for rent signs. Should be pretty easy also a bit of fun.
good luck

Thanks for that Tomass, think i'll do just that. Ringing people direct would cut some of the paperwork out. I have done that before and the landlady turned into dragon so have to be careful.
