Tinto (Moderator) says on Jul 16, 2007, 11:12: Just out of curiosity, what kind of music do they play in Mangos in Medellin? Every time someone posts a picture of the joint, it looks like the walls are covered with fake "Americana" - Wild West and cowboy stuff.

Lauthra says on Jul 16, 2007, 11:54: It pretty hard for rock bands to get support here cos the vast majority doesn't listen to rock music and even consideres it 'musica metalica - satanica', that's what happened to me in school and that wasn't even 10 years ago. Good list Simon, but I only like The beatles after they tried acid, and U2 is pop really. I love Mercury's voice, one of the greatest eva. Nato (='.'=) 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

kalder says on Jul 16, 2007, 11:58: That 'draft lottery' for Vietnam must have been terrifying. My father was in the regulars when we invaded Egypt in the '50s. He said many conscripted troops were just not suitable for any aspect of military life, let alone combat. He said the draft was scandalous. Lauthra says on Jul 16, 2007, 20:19: Yeah, Rubito, I am so glad I live here, they can be quite narrow minded back there! Actually even thought that happened to me 7 years ago, my sistas, who are 14 & 16 now, are experiencing the same thing in Cali, they're all emo of course, cos it's the hip (not) thing to be now days, I was all about grunge :P Nato (='.'=) 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
