ROAMING - I need to hear your experiences!!

Hi everyone,

I'm interested in knowing your opinions on this service here in Colombia, which carrier do you use, how's the quality of the service, is help in english available? How's the converage? how would tou improve the service. I know it's expensive but it's sure helpfull.

I'm working on a proyect to boost this service for tourist in Colombia and locals travelling abroad. I would like to listen to your comments.

I called my father back for FREE with 12Voip.com. We chatted for about 45 minutes!

I have VoIP at home here so that's cool - and my blackberry has international data (tmobile) and hot-spot-at-home so this means than when my blackberry has wifi - i have unlimited incoming and outgoing calls to the US for the 9.99 hot-spot-at-home plan without using any minutes. To use the phone on the Colombian network the cost is 2.99/minute to roam. I have a Tigo / Movistar phone here prepaid which I use for bumming around town and 20 mil will last me 2 weeks unless i cal the US - then the rate is like 390 pesos/min (so they advertise I don't know if this is true as there is no accountability for cell phone usage here)..
