will be in cali in couple of weeks. how is the safety of the roads from cali to buenaventura and from cali to coffee park right now? wife wants to go to Juanchaco y Ladrilleros for a few days of relaxation but want to make sure everything's good for an american with little spanish.
can anyone advise whether its worth spending 3 or 4 days on the beach?? will a gringo used to television enjoy a few days at the beach or is it a waste of time??
thanks.

Lowell says on Jun 22, 2006, 17:43: travel As far as I know Buenaventura is still not the safest place to vacation. Also, no real resorts there. Hot and the sun will fry your skin in minutes. Bring gallons of sun screne. I'm half Italian and Sweedish so I tan well. I fry within 1 hour. Remember Colombia is very close to the equator. Hence strong solar rays. Alfred E. Newman. "What.
