Resort city "Gardot" ????

I hear this a nice resort, lots of people.

Also there is another city nearby , but starts with a "M" , I think.

Anyone been to either?

Both cities are supposed to be approx 2 hours , by car, from Bogota.
The weather is supposed to be warm.

OK thanks Girardot and Melgar, I hear it is supposed to filled with people having a good time.

But are there single women, or are all the girls in social groups, not open to strangers?

And what is the place like?

gee wish I don't have the slightest. Why don't you ask pablo, your friendly and helpful taxi driver from Medellin?

Seriously, I believe ít's deserted right now. Everybody is in Manizales for the Feria de Café and then they'll be in Pasto for the Feria de Blancos and Negros. I'll recommend the town of Coconucos, in Cauca at this time of the year.

Girardot and Melgar Girardot is dotted with very high end condominium complexes, golf courses etc. So the life is very exclusive within these areas. Melgar is the opposite lots of small holiday hotels and a nice strip of bars with lots of action in the weekends. So if you are invited in Girardot you will have a great time but if you are on your own I definitelly recommend the latter one.

Greg Ignore Gringo´s comments, his commentaries are not decent enough to even deserve a reply. Melgar as said is a popular destination for middle class Bogota people. People are very friendly as the heat seems to open up the usually more reserved cachacos. Nothing fancy, but quite colorful and very tropical.
