Reputable jeweler in Cali

Anybody know of a reputable jeweler in Cali. I would rather go someplace where I can say 'so and so sent me'. I want to get my novia a ring.

This brings up another problem. Anyone know any tricks I can use to get her ring size without her figuring out I am getting a ring? I have no idea how to do it. I can't ask her friends, they would keep it a secret for about one minute. I am in Cali(fornia) now and I want to have the ring in February when I go to Cali.

Maybe we should just go shopping some day and casually walk in a jewelry store and let her try on a few rings. Nah, she would probably figure it out.

Help me please!

the ring I went threw the same thing 2 years ago.

If you want to find out about jewely stores ask any women. It is like asking a man about hardware stores.

I bought my ring in the usa. I consulted my sisterinlaw about rings. She said the best place to buy rings in sams club. I was surprized. When went to every jewly store in town including the mall. I ended up buying from sams club. Then I asked her about ring size. I thought it would be a big thing. She told that it is really easy to get a ring resized at a jewly store. It cost $30-40 in the usa. When I got to cali I gave my girl friend the ring. It was too large. We went to chippchappy mall and had one of the jewly store resize it. It took 24 hours and cost $15 to get the ring resized.
I asked my girl friends sister about the ring. I ask her what it cost in cali. I ended up saving $200 buing in the usa.

Good jewelery It is my expriance that when it comes to finding unusual, one of a kind, hand crafted, and hand made jewelery, you will never be able to match the jewelery that you can find in the small shops in most cities in Colombia. That is if you use the materials that come from Colombia (gold, platinum, silver, or emeralds). If you are looking for diamonds in cheap 14k gold setting, than you might as well buy it before you go. If you have the time and someone that you trust, you could always buy a loose stone before you travel and have it set in a nice ring in Colombia.
I know some trustworthy people in Cartagena, if you need some help. Contact me thru a private message and I will get you more info.
Good luck.

Wait 'til you get to Colombia I would find a trustworthy jeweler and have it made their like one poster suggested and then you could get it Handmade in Real 18K Gold-difficult to find in the US at a reasonable price. Too bad you weren't in Miami-a friend's wife sells 18K Gold jewelry here in miami and she has some dynamite items.
