Report of 30 Deaths on Providencia. Does anyone have better information?

"Hurricane Beta slammed into the small island of Providencia, causing flooding and 30 deaths, but only sideswiped San Andres, its larger and more developed neighbor. Both islands are popular dive sites"

Should the report say 30 injured instead of 30 dead?

This seems extreme, because of the small population on Providencia. Earlier reports from Comombia's civil defense said there were no fataliies.
